After about a century of neglect we are now coming back to the use of this binder, the natural qualities of which are proving to be more suitable for the quality of life of the buildings”. All our limes labelled NHL are accompanied by a European compliance certificate issued in accordance with the Directive 89/106/CEE, mentioning the compliance of the hydraulic binders in accordance with the Standard EN 459-1.

Bonding layer

• Application and characteristics

  Mixture of natural hydraulic lime intended to provide the greatest adhesion capacity. Recommended for all smooth and not very absorbent surfaces such as concrete and inconsistent surfaces aiming to improve the adhesion properties of the base.

  Ready to use: Add 7-8 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes and leave to stand for 10 minutes.

  Usage: 3-6 kg/m²

Multipurpose screed, bonding layer and distemper

• Application and characteristics

  Product with a strong bonding property on various bases, absorption regulator, permeable, able to be covered with paint or perspiring mineral coverings. In addition it can be used as a finishing product as a distemper (see mass-colouring by means of a range of pigments).

  Ready to use: Add 6 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes and leave to stand for 10 minutes.

Mineral thermal insulation mortar

• Application and characteristics

  Mineral thermal insulation mortar interior and exterior, constituted of a mixture of expanded silicates, bound by natural hydraulic lime. This mortar gives building insulation by eliminating the thermal bridges, it is an excellent hygrometric regulator of structures. Manual and mechanical application possible.

  Ready to use: Add 9 to 11 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes until a creamy mixture is obtained.

  This product is one of the rare insulating systems leaving a permeability to water vapour and basing its structure on natural minerals.

  Usage: 3.5 kg/m²/cm thickness
  Useful thermal conductivity (certified): λ 0.066

Lightened mortar

• Lightened mortar

  Lightened body of coatings for interior and exterior, particularly effective for masonry constructed in insulating, agglomerate or expanded blocks.
  Mixture of light and heavy inert products bonded with natural hydraulic lime. It facilitates the evaporation of the dampness contained in the walls, avoids condensation phenomena on the bedding joints and resists microfissures.
  In addition this product carries out a function of thermal corrector.

  Ready to use: Add 7.5 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes until a usable mixture is obtained.

  Usage: +/- 12-13 kg/m²/cm

Renovation mortar

• Application and characteristics

  Renovation mortar by evaporation composed of natural hydraulic lime. This mortar is applied on damp walls such as cellars, foundations or any other place subjected to alternating dry-damp. Its high water vapour permeability properties will quickly eliminate moisture trapped in the construction and will thus prevent the formation of damp patches.

  Ready to use: Add 5 to 6 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes and leave to stand for at least 10 minutes.

  Usage : +/- 15 kg/m²/cm thickness

Screed or finishing mortar

• Application and characteristics

  Natural hydraulic lime renovation coating, applied directly on to the base, has in particular the function of regulation of moisture levels. It ensures the rapid evacuation of moisture contained in the masonry while maintaining an ideal hygrometric balance.

  The product exists in two grain sizes; N (normal) and M (medio) specially designed for machine application.

  Ready to use: Add 5 to 6 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes and then leave to stand for at least 20 minutes.

  Usage: +/- 15-18 kg/m²/cm thickness

Finishings

• Application and characteristics

  Finishing based on natural hydraulic lime.
  Either

  • Waterproofed, recommended for the protection of the thermal insulation and renovation coating body and/or to be covered with fine non-synthetic film product.
  • Traditional, recommended as an ideal base for mineral water paints, forbidden when there is too much moisture, presence of salt.
  • Coloured, recommended to reproduce chromatic effects “cloudy” (watering) of the former coatings.

  Ready to use: Add 4-5 litres of water per bag, mix for 3 to 4 minutes and then leave to stand for 15-20 minutes.

  Usage: +/- 3-5 kg/m²

    Pure natural hydraulic lime binder NHL 5 or NHL 3.5 for use for pointing mortar and masonry mortar. Not ready to use: to be used in a proportion of 1 part of binder to 3 parts of clean river sand.

  • Either

    Pointing and masonry mortar for the restoration of joints, wall joints, façades and masonry. Based on natural hydraulic lime.

  Ready to use.
  Usage: +/- 1 kg per brick of the ready-to-use mixture (NHL binder and sand)
