Capilasil® in solvent phase, based on oligomeric siloxanes (10% concentration)
Rising damp
Rising damp is due to water absorbed by capillary action. The greater the number of capillaries and the thinner they are the
greater will be the absorption and the higher the rising damp. The degree of damp also depends on the possibility of
evaporation and the thickness of the walls.
In the majority of cases it is in the corners that the rising damp is greatest.
Capilasil® is based on dearomatised solvents. These solvents offer the advantages of being much less noxious and almost odourless. After polymerisation the product creates a definitive barrier against rising damp. The formulation is perfectly adjusted and a catalyst accelerates the polymerisation process in damp environments. Subsequently the façades are dried out and protected against rising damp by the formation of a hydrophobic barrier at the bottom of the walls.
Application
The application of Capilasil® is carried out by means of an injection pump (may be hired) and according to a very precise and well established protocol.
The treatments that have been carried out over more than 30 years are behaving perfectly, which allows us to say that injections carried out in accordance with best practice have every chance of being effective and giving very positive results for the whole life of the building.
Characteristics
Capilasil® is a solvent-based solution of an oligomeric siloxane with a concentration of 10 % of active material in a base of a 100% concentrate. This product has a hydrophobic action and an excellent penetration capacity and very good activity even in the presence of harmful salts (urea).
Usage is 1.5 to 2 litres per m² flow and per 10 cm thickness.
Packaging
Capilasil® is available in 5 and 25 litre drums.
You can take advantage of an attractive discount by buying a complete pallet, i.e. 600 litres.
