EFFECTS OF DAMP IN WALLS
  • Degradation of walls :
The salts arising from the water table or present in the brickwork are carried to the surface. The water evaporates, the salts crystallise and form efflorescences. The salts are hygroscopic and cause additional damp. Salts also remain present in the masonry.
  • Heat loss :
Dry materials have better insulation properties than wet materials. The evaporation of moisture causes in addition the material to cool down.
  • Destruction :
Of the ceiling boards, wall coverings, paintwork, woodwork, etc.
  • Serious diseases :
Due to too high a level of humidity in the building.

Capilasil® is a colourless impregnating agent enabling materials to be made water-repellent and to protect them against surface damp and rising damp. The products in the Capilasil® range are composed of premium-quality oligomeric siloxanes allowing the bases treated to retain their permeability to water vapour while being resistant to weather and upward leaching. According to needs the formulation of the Capilasil® come in several variations (Capilasil®, Capilasil® 3/5, Capilasil® PB, Capilasil® OM, Capilasil® HEH2O ECO) to give maximum success to your restoration projects.

Conscious of the environment, the BEAL® team has decided to sell the water-based Capilasil® HEH2O ECO at the most competitive price to allow the most ecological solutions to emerge victorious from price comparisons (with equal quality).

In addition the BEAL Products range also offers you waterproofing compounds to use as admixtures.
